To comply with supplier, lodge and operator terms and conditions. BLC is obligated to specify its terms and conditions to meet industry, legal and regulatory requirements. The following terms and conditions are therefore applicable to all BLC clients:

CONFIRMATION:
We will, subject to availability, provisionally reserve accommodation, tours, transfers, and flights on receipt of your reservation request. For confirmation of a provisional booking, a non-refundable deposit of a minimum of 20% of the total tour price will be required to be transferred or deposited into BLCs' bank account within 48 hours of invoice.

Final payment is due no later than six weeks before departure. On receipt of full payment into our bank account, BLC will furnish you with the relevant documentation and information, e.g. vouchers, final itineraries, letters of confirmation etc.

(After the booking has been confirmed) Should you wish to change any dates, accommodation or flights, you may do so subject to availability. However, should any costs be incurred due to these changes, you would remain liable for these costs.

CANCELLATION
Cancellation of any booking must be in writing. Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification. If prior to 8 weeks before departure, your deposit is forfeited. If your cancellation is made after the due date for full payment of your tour fare, charges will be levied.

The scale of charges, expressed as a percentage of the tour price, is as follows:

8 to 6 weeks notice - Deposit forfeited
Less than 6 weeks notice - Deposit plus 25% forfeited
Less than 4 weeks notice - Deposit plus 50% forfeited
Less than 2 weeks notice - 100% Cancellation fee

Should you fail to join our tour or join it after departure or leave it prior to its completion, no tour fare refund can be made. (please note that if the reason for cancellation falls within the terms of any holiday insurance policy which you hold, then any such charges will usually be refunded to you by the insurance company, subject to the terms of your insurance policy)

WILD ANIMALS
Please be aware that some of our safaris may take you into close contact with wild animals. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur. Neither the company, their employees, nor agents can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari.

PASSPORT & VISAS
The onus is upon the client to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries visited. The company, their staff and their agents cannot be held liable for any visas etc., not held by the client, but will assist in obtaining advice on visa requirements in most cases.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
Anti-malaria precautions or other medical precautions needed whilst travelling should be commenced before departure. The onus is on you, the client, to have all necessary documentation and proof pertaining to any medical requirements. It is advisable for clients to bring their insect repellent, as this is not included. Please consult your doctor for specific advice. If you are a contagious disease carrier, you must let us know when booking your tour, and please be aware that Yellow Fever vaccinations are mandatory in certain African countries.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Although it is not always necessary, we recommend that all clients take out comprehensive insurance cover for curtailment, medical expenses, personal baggage, emergency evacuation back home and money.

INDEMNITY
Neither BLC nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of the company shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the afore-going and shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in its brochure or other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, theft, injury or death, whether occasioned by negligence or not.

In addition, BLC shall have the right at any time, at its discretion, to cancel any tour or the remainder thereof or make any alteration in route, accommodation, price or any other details. And in the event of any tour being rendered impossible, illegal or inadvisable by weather, strike, war, governmental or interference or any other cause whatsoever, and the extra expenses incurred; as a result, thereof shall be the client's responsibility.

BLC may, at its discretion, and without liability or cost to itself at any time, cancel or terminate the client's booking and in particular without limiting the generality of the afore-going. It shall be entitled to do so in the event of the illness or illegal behaviour of the client, who shall in such circumstances not be entitled to any refund.

PHOTOGRAPHY
BLC reserves the right, without further notice, to make use of any photograph or film taken on the tour by our crew for TV, brochures, and general publicity purposes without payment or permission.

CHANGES TO SCHEDULES
Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, it should be borne in mind that BLC reserves the right and is obliged to occasionally change routes and camps on tour as dictated by conditions. Such conditions may be brought about by seasonal rainfall on bush tracks, airfields and in game areas, game migrations, reservation problems, quality fluctuations etc.

DELAYS
We cannot be held liable for any delays or any additional costs incurred due to airlines or any ground operation not running on schedule.

RATES
Although every effort is made to keep to the prices published, should increases be forced on us by airlines, exchange rates etc., we reserve the right to surcharge, the additional charge without notice.

CONSENT
The cost of a deposit or any other partial payment for a reservation on a trip constitutes consent by all guests covered by that payment to all our booking conditions. The person making any booking will, in the process of making such booking, warrant that they have authority to enter into a contract on behalf of the other person/s included in such a booking and in the event of the failure of any or all of the other person/s so included making payment, the person making the booking shall by his/her signature thereof assume personal liability for the total price of all bookings made by them. No terms may be changed, except in writing by an authorised director of BLC.
